"I love you so much, my dear daughter..."

Isaac Beckford is the current leader of Twilight (the origination that Isaac was the last leader of) and the mysterious father of Cardia Beckford and Finis. Isaac is an unparalleled genius who created and perfected many alchemical and scientific achievements over his lifetime, to the point he is referred to as "the modern-day Prometheus". He is missing at the beginning of the story and Cardia begins to search for him to find out the truth of her existence.

Story[]

He was a brilliant scientist and alchemist who revolutionized Britain and designed Steel London.

Originally, he was a kind and humble man, despite his genius, and was revered by all. Eventually, he retired in order to allow the next generation to take up the reins, and lived in the countryside with his wife, his childhood sweetheart Rebecca, and his two children, Cardia and Finis. Unfortunately, the land around his home was devasted by natural disasters, and while he tried to help the villagers get by, it was not enough. Eventually, when he was seeking help from the Royal Society, people broke into his home. He found his wife stabbed multiple times and his children badly burned. They were still alive, but none of the villagers were willing to help him, and they died as a result.

In his grief, he turned his back on god and threw himself into his research. He became a bitter man who sought to remake the world as its god. For his plan, he made Finis, to act as his vessel, and Cardia, to house the Horologium that would be his energy source. He had no compassion for either of his homunculi children.

While preparing his plans, he was targeted by Omnibus and the Apostles of Idea, who foresaw that his plans would overstep the boundaries between God and humankind, and eventually destroy humanity.
